Fitnastix is a dynamic and engaging recreational gymnastics program designed to introduce children to the exciting world of acrobatics and physical fitness. Our sessions focus on playful movement while laying a strong foundation for fitness. It’s non-competitive and perfect for kids who want to stay active and learn through movement and games—whether they’re new to gymnastics or already experienced.

Our classes offer a variety of age-appropriate activities, including:
– Tumbling and flips: Learn to master basic and advanced tumbling skills, such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and even backflips.
– Coordination exercises: Develop exceptional coordination and balance through fun and challenging drills.
Cardio fitness: Get your heart pumping with exciting rope skipping routines.
– Strength and conditioning: Build strong muscles and improve overall fitness with functional fitness exercises.
– Flexibility: Enhance flexibility and body awareness with kids’ yoga stretches.
– And much more!

We welcome children aged 4 to 12 years old, grouping them into appropriate age brackets to ensure a safe and supportive learning experience.

Most recommend a leotard or fitted athletic wear—no zippers or snaps; hair pulled back; and bare feet for safety and mobility. This helps keep your child comfortable and focused during movement-based play.

However, students may attend in their school uniform, and this is perfectly acceptable.

At Fitnastix, we work hard to ensure that every session is fun, engaging, and positive. At the same time, maintaining discipline is essential—not only to avoid disruption, but also to help children learn more effectively and to encourage teamwork, respect, and cooperation.

We fully understand that every child learns at their own pace, and our coaches are experienced in supporting different learning styles. This is exactly where discipline plays an important role: it allows all students to progress in a safe and structured environment while still enjoying the activities.

If a child’s behaviour makes it difficult for them to settle into class, and their actions disrupt the session to the point that the experience is negatively affected for the group, we reserve the right to cancel that child’s membership. In such cases, any remaining balance of fees will be refunded.

Our aim is always to work with families to support the child and find a solution where possible, but the well-being and learning of the group as a whole must come first.

At Fitnastix we want every child to feel safe, supported, and set up for success. Our group classes are high-energy and fast-paced, and our coaches are not specialised or qualified to provide one-to-one or therapeutic support for children with diagnosed disabilities or complex additional needs.

Because of this, some children—particularly those who may require a quieter environment, individual support, or tailored sensory/behavioural strategies—may find our group format challenging and we may not be the best fit. This position is outlined in our Terms & Conditions agreed at enrolment.

If your child has additional needs, please contact us before enrolling to discuss suitability. We’re happy to:

  • Chat through your child’s needs and what a typical class involves;
  • Suggest options (e.g., a brief visit/observation) to help you decide;
  • Where appropriate, recommend more suitable programmes that provide specialist support.

Our priority is each child’s safety, dignity, and enjoyment. If we feel we cannot meet a child’s needs safely and appropriately within our group setting, we will let you know with care and transparency.

We occasionally receive requests for Trial Classes, and we’re happy to accommodate them—but only after the enrolment period has ended. During the registration phase, we focus on forming full-time classes and do not offer trial sessions.

Once registration is complete and the class is fully formed, we may open up opportunities for trial classes based on availability. If you’re interested in requesting a trial, please email us at hello@fitnastixacademy.com and we’ll be glad to check if a spot is available.

While Fitnastix is recreational and non-competitive, instructors observe development and will recommend progression (e.g., age group or complexity of activities) when your child is ready.
